Election Opportunities

Elections are a primary focus for Indivisible National, and Indivisible Greater Kalamazoo this year. Here is how you can get involved:

1. Volunteer with IGKfor canvassing, phone banking, and writing postcards for our on-going get out the vote (GOTV) effort! If you haven’t already, sign up on the IGK website to Volunteer here:

2. Join Indivisible National’s Neighbor2Neighbor Canvassing program. It’s a REALLY easy way to meet your neighbors and step into canvassing. When you sign up, the program will provide you with names and addresses of 10 neighbors who have voted Democrat in the past. A script, a flyer, and basic canvassing tips are provided.

3. Join Indivisible’s Election Protection Corps!
   The Election Protection Corps is a grassroots network of volunteers located in Georgia, Iowa, Michigan, North Carolina, and Ohio dedicated to protecting the right to vote before, during, and after the 2026 election. 4. Make sure you, your family, and your friends are registered to vote in your City or Township! Register in person:
   Register to Vote City of Kalamazoo.

5. Register Online if you have a MI license or State ID: Register to vote.
   

6. Sign up to be a Poll Worker! You will receive training and be paid. The nine days of Early Voting are administered by the County.

7. Election Day voting is administered by your City or Township.
   Apply at your local Clerk's Office:

8. Vote in the August 4 Primary Election!
   

9. Help process mail-in ballots on Election Day at your City or Township Clerk’s office.
   

10. Help “cure” ballots after the election. Sometimes an error is made on a mail-in ballot (see articles). For a short period after an election, ballots can be cured directly with the voter so their ballot may still be counted.

11. Sign up to be a Poll Watcher or a Poll Challenger in Michigan at Promote the Vote.
